She knows what she wants!

Or so she says.

Mr. Jenny and I give our Grands a Birthday party each year as their gift from us. They help plan the entire thing and always seem to know exactly what they want.

We've done the bouncer parties, and the pony parties, and the glittery girl parties...

And this past week I've spent quite a bit of time with our middle Grand planning her 7th Birthday party.

She knows what she wants!

She wants to have it in a park.

With a lot of running and races and relays.

She wants medals and trophies.

She wants cupcakes. Pink frosting, please.

She wants pizza. Just cheese, please.

She wants goodie bags for all her little friends.

She's been uber-excited and I really thought we had it all figured out.

Until last night when I talked to her on the phone and she told me "Grandma! Grandma! I forgot the most important thing I want for my Birthday party!"

I told her to hold on while I got my party notepad out and then she informed me, "The only thing we forgot Grandma, is to get Hannah Montana to come and sing!"

Hmmm...

Hmmm....

Uh oh!

Know any Miley Cyrus impersonators!?!

Sigh...

But in another little twist, she has now decided that she would really rather have balloon relays. Don't tell Miley how easily she was replaced, please!

PS. I had an e-mail from a fellow blogger who asked me to mention a jewelry giveawy she's having. If you have a second, just click here! She has some cool fabric flowers for hair and some pretty fall related jewelry. Thanks!

That is too funny!!!! You obviously can do ANYTHING!!! and your granddaughter knows it!!!!
I think you should get a kareoke (sp) machine with all her songs and let the girls sing. of course you and gramps should do the hoedown song and dance just to give them some laughs!!!!
Can't wait to see how this turns out!!!

What a great gift to give your grandkids! Having none myself, seeing as I have no kids, I shall live vicariously through you. :-)

Well, if the real Hannah is already booked, I like the idea of a karaoke machine, of course you have to have the video machine and all.

You gotta love the way a kid's mind works!!!

She is too cute. What a great party she's going to have. And glad to hear that she decided against Hanna Montana, that might have been difficult to pull off! Balloon relays sound like more fun anyway :) Kat

Hilarious! Well thank goodness Miley is so easily replaced by balloon races!

My daughter will not be four until February but is already planning her party, for which she wants a bouncy castle and lots of girls, only two boys can come. When I asked her who the boys were she said "Cash" so then I said that's only one boy to which she replied "no, Daddy is coming as well" - silly me :-)

I hope you have a really fun party in the park!

I am so glad she gave up on Hannah Montana...a balloon relay would be so much easier. and less messy. :)

By the time I get a grandchild, I'll probably not even remember who I am to have a birthday party. You are the best, Jenny.

What a great Grandma you are. A birthday party of their choice. I don't know, maybe you should see if Miley is available. Not only are you a great grandma but an awesome friend. I think I received my first ever Thanksgiving card. Made my heart thankful for you for sure. And you are onto the Christmas cards I see from a previous post. I really should get mine made this year and out on time. I missed the last couple of years. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Jenny Matlock!

You are a VERY good grandma! Even if you can't get Hannah Montana for a birthday party-ha!

I hope you are having a lovely weekend!

Sounds like you all are having fun with it--plans change at that age so frequently.

I won't tell Billy Ray's daughter...
